Tim Shultz, Topeka, KCSL Board Chair

Meet Tim! In April 2021, Tim became KCSL’s board chair after serving for two years on the Board of Directors. Tim recently began a new job opportunity working as Associate General Counsel, Risk and Safety for Stormont Vail Health. He brings more than 28 years of legal experience to KCSL. Always willing to pitch in a helping hand, Tim and his wife Melissa are often found at KCSL events together moving chairs, setting out materials or just greeting people!

WHY DO YOU VOLUNTEER?

I was first introduced to KCSL by other partners at my previous law firm. I provided some legal services related to my expertise in business and corporate law. The more I spoke to the leadership at KCSL and learned about the mission to protect and promote the well-being of children, I realized KCSL was an organization where I needed to get involved personally, not just professionally.

WHY WOULD YOU ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO VOLUNTEER AT KCSL?

KCSL helps ensure parents receive the supports they need to be better parents, and as a result the children in Kansas are the real winners. When you make the decision to volunteer at KCSL, you can be confident that you are volunteering with an organization that is reputable. My experience has been KCSL is respectful and helpful. But more importantly, they make a difference.
