Ways to Volunteer at KCSL

Help us help others by volunteering with Kansas Children’s Service League. There are numerous ways you can support KCSL across the state of Kansas. Explore options that align with your schedule and strengths, including short-term, long-term, group and corporate opportunities.

Short-Term

Short-term volunteer roles may include addressing envelopes, providing childcare at family nights and more. These one-time roles are a simple, hands-on way to help Kansas families without a long-term commitment.

Long-Term

Contribute to our mission by regularly helping with support groups, answering calls from the 1-800-CHILDREN helpline, providing childcare for events and more. Ongoing positions are perfect for those looking to give back consistently.

Group & Corporate

KCSL provides meaningful ways for groups and corporate teams to give back together. Group activities range from assembling care packages for families, sponsoring family-time events and more. We’ll work with you to find something that suits your group’s size, interests and availability.

What are the age requirements?

For most roles, volunteers must be at least 18 years old. However, specific roles require volunteers to be 21 years old.

What does a typical volunteer opportunity look like?

Volunteering at KCSL varies based on location and program needs. Some positions are short-term, like assembling care packages or helping at an event. Others are long-term, such as providing childcare weekly at parent support groups or answering calls for the 1-800-CHILDREN helpline.

I want to help, but I don’t have time to volunteer.

No. Most opportunities do not require prior experience. KCSL staff will provide information and guidance based on the role.
