Kansas Children’s Service League (KCSL) is excited to welcome nine new members to our Board of Directors. These leaders bring a range of experiences, but all share a passion for supporting children and families. In their own words, they share what drives their commitment and why KCSL’s mission matters.
What inspired you to serve on KCSL’s Board?

“I wanted to join the KCSL Board because I admire the work that KCSL does across Kansas to improve the lives of children and families.”

“My journey with KCSL began when I sought affordable childcare for my family in southwest Kansas. At the time, I was working as a Community Health Worker and often interacted with KCSL staff at community events. Their dedication and commitment made joining an easy decision.”

“Years ago, I was invited to serve at the Red Stocking breakfast. It’s my favorite event, you get to see the families KCSL serves. Seeing those little faces light up – that’s my why! I want to keep those faces happy and bright.”

Why is serving on the Board important to you?
