Learning That Starts at Home
Want to help your child learn and grow without leaving home? KCSL offers early childhood education services that bring learning activities and resources directly to you. Expectant parents and families with children ages birth to 5 receive support from our staff that promotes healthy growth, stronger parenting skills and your child’s learning.
Learning Together in the Classroom
Looking for a structured environment where your child can learn alongside other kids? KCSL’s early education classrooms provide a safe place where children from infancy to age 5 can learn, play and grow. With hands-on activities, caring teachers and opportunities to build important skills, we’re here to help your child thrive and support your family along the way.
Service area: Finney, Grant, Gray, Haskell, Kearny, Scott, Seward, Stanton, Stevens and Wichita Counties
When traditional school settings are not the right fit, KCSL helps teens get back on track. Students receive help with academics, behavior and life skills in a structured, encouraging setting. Together, we help your teen overcome challenges, earn credits and work toward earning their high school diploma.

A referral from a local school district is required to initiate services.

Research shows that providing a solid foundation for learning goes far beyond academic support. That’s why our programs focus on the whole picture and include support for parents in many areas including health, nutrition, safety, development, behavioral support, and more. Our staff may also help families by providing referrals to other community resources for assistance when needed.

KCSL believes that parents and caregivers play an enormous role in early development. We view parents as a child’s first teachers and we want to set them up for maximum success. So we encourage healthy family relationships and actively promote opportunities for parent-child interactions that incorporate learning into the daily routine. With our support parents and caregivers learn new ways to interact with their children to help them be successful.
