Thank You for Creating Pinwheels of Possibility

April 30, 2026

As National Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Month comes to a close, we want to pause and say thank you to everyone who helped bring the Pinwheels of Possibility campaign to life across Kansas this April.

From pinwheel displays and community events to digital storytelling and moments of connection, your participation demonstrates what’s possible when communities come together to strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect before it occurs. Throughout the month, communities statewide showed that prevention isn’t just a concept. It’s action, awareness and support woven into everyday life.

This year’s CAP Month reminded us of a powerful truth: creating a future full of possibility for children takes all of us. When families have access to support early and often, children can grow up safe, supported and ready to thrive.

Watch this year’s highlight video to see the collective impact of our efforts—partners, advocates, families and communities united around prevention.

Prevention Is a Commitment We Carry Forward

While April gives us a dedicated moment to shine a light on prevention, this work continues every day of the year. We hope you use the momentum built during CAP Month to create a foundation for ongoing support, awareness and action.

Every pinwheel planted, every conversation started and every step taken toward prevention helps create more possibilities for children and families across our state. Thank you for standing with us, for believing in prevention and for helping create a future where every child can thrive.
