Kansas Children’s Service League Joins Prevent Child Abuse America to Celebrate Milestone Anniversary
KCSL is excited to join in the celebration of its parent chapter organization, Prevent Child Abuse America® (PCA America), which turns 50 this year! PCA America is the nation’s oldest organization committed to preventing child abuse and neglect. PCA America strives to give families the support and resources they need to thrive. This is accomplished through its national state chapter network and 600 Healthy Families America sites nationwide. Join us in celebrating half a century of progress preventing child abuse and neglect through proactive solutions that put children and families first.
About PCA America
Based in Chicago but with a nationwide reach, PCA America and its affiliates are on a mission to shift the national narrative around child abuse and neglect – focusing firmly on creating the conditions for all children, families and communities to thrive. By focusing on all forms of family supports, our nation and communities can prevent child abuse and neglect. This maximizes opportunities for every child to reach their full potential – regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic background.
Building Stronger Families Together
As PCAA celebrates 50 years, we’re reminded of the importance of partnership in prevention work. KCSL’s mission is to protect and promote the well-being of children. Our programs work with children and families in the areas of child abuse prevention, school readiness, education, and family support to help children and families succeed and to break cycles of neglect, abuse and trauma. We help both children and parents develop skills for success in their families, schools and workplaces. KCSL is also the Kansas chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America and Circle of Parents.
