Parents Helping Parents Groups & Activities
yellow
Parents Helping Parents groups are for parents who are experiencing stress in raising their children and want the support of other parents who are experiencing similar issues. This program is proven effective in helping to strengthen family relationships and improving positive parenting skills. Parents feel less alone. They gain a better understanding of themselves and their children, learn about child development, and ways to deal with anger and crisis situations.

Parents Helping Parents and Grandparent/Kinship Support Groups are offered free of charge. Groups are led by led by a trained volunteer facilitators or parent leaders. However, self-help is the guiding force behind the groups. Information shared in the meeting is confidential unless a child is in danger.

To join a group contact the Kansas Children’s Service League at 877-530-5275 (toll free) or email B.J. Gore.
