"Chair"ish the Children
yellow
For adults a chair is a place to sit and wait, but for a child a chair inexplicably becomes more than a place to wait. Tired of waiting, the chair becomes a ship on the high seas, a rocket shooting through space, or a magic carpet ride zipping through the sky, a place built on imagination and dreams. Whatever the scenario, one thing remains; the ability to dream without boundaries, imagine the unseen and believe in the impossible is vested in the minds of our children. And every child deserves a safe home where the ability to dream and imagine is built.

The “Chair”ish the Children special event and auction benefits the Kansas Children’s Service League’s Seward County child abuse prevention and neglect programs. Each of the items inclued in the auction were created by local students and professional artists in the Western Kansas Area. The event includes two complimentary drinks and hors d'oeurves with a chair preview during social hour, followed by dinner and a live auction for the chairs.

Proceeds from the event benefit KCSL’s programs in Southwest Kansas, including the Head Start program in 13 counties, the Parent Helpline (1-800-CHILDREN), the Community Resource Library and The Period of PURPLE Crying® program.
